Oberoi bagged '2010 Corporate Hotelier of the World' award




Oberoi Group Chairman P R S Oberoi was awarded the '2010 Corporate Hotelier of theWorld' award by HOTELS magazine in New York on Monday.

In its 29th year, the annual 'Hotelier of the World' award winner is selected on the basis of votes cast by readers of the magazine in more than 150 countries.
The cover story of the November edition of HOTELS magazine refers to Oberoi as "the founder father of modern luxury hospitality in India " and credits him with growing the company "into one of the world's most prestigious luxury hotel groups".
Oberoi is credited with placing Oberoi hotels on international luxury travelers' map with the opening of several new luxuryhotels in the Mauritius , Indonesia and Egypt , besides important tourist destinations in India , such as Jaipur, Agra , Udaipur , Ranthambhore and Mashobra in the Himalayas .
Recently, The Oberoi Vanyavilas hotel at Ranthambhore was ranked the best hotel in the world in Travel + Leisure magazine's 2010 World's Best Awards readers' poll.

  1. It is a shame that the famous HOTELS magazine would recognize P.R.S.Oberoi. He did not work until he was 40, treats his employees like dirt yelling and screaming at his managers, and throws his people on the street once they reach retirement age.
    His employees respect only in fear of him because they know he will snuff them out if they look the wrong way.

    He left his employees on the street during 26/11 and only did something when the Taj owner took action immediately to take care of employees.
